Getting Here

Getting Here might be a little tricky but it is well worth the effort.

Closest Airports
Charlotte, NC 2.5 hours (much larger and more likely to have direct flights)
Roanoke, VA 2.5 hours

Driving
When looking on a map you'll find Mouth of Wilson, Virginia at the junction of hwy 58 & 16. That tiny spot near the NC border is us. We're on that corner in the big white house - you can't miss it. And if you do miss it, stop and ask anyone, and they'll send you back towards MOW.

Directions:
Coming from the North and West on I-81:

• Take exit 45 for Hwy 16 and Marion
• Head South on Hwy 16 for 28miles until you reach Mouth of Wilson (two mountain ranges to cross and numerous small towns)
• Eventually you'll arrive in "downtown"  Mouth of Wilson, our house is on the right.

Coming from the South on I-77:

• Take exit 83 onto US 21 toward Roaring Gap/Sparta
• Continue North on 21 for approximately 30miles ("Up the Mountain", under the parkway, into and back out of Sparta, NC)
• After leaving Sparta, you'll take your third major road to the right onto NC 93
• Follow country road 93 for 9.5 miles until you reach a stop sign
• Take a right and continue on 93 across the NC/VA state line and over the New River (1 mile)
• Turn left onto Hwy 58 towards Mouth of Wilson
• After 1.5 miles on 58 you'll arrive in "downtown"  Mouth of Wilson, our house is on the left

Note on GPS 

If you decide to use a gps to get you here be aware that they have a bad reputation here for taking visitors on the long, scenic route around here. If you use one, just make sure you check the map from time to time.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a wonderful experience, so long as you have time to soak it up. Be weary of any directions that incorporate the parkway.
